DivineAid exists to empower communities through capacity building, networking, research, partnership and collaboration with other development actors for the realization of holistic and sustainable development.
Divine Agency for Integrated Development (DivineAid), formerly called Divine Waters Uganda, was established in June 2001 as an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in Uganda with a National NGO Board with focusing on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); Improved livelihood of the local communities, enhanced capacity of the local communities for self-sustainability.The Organization was established in 2001 to provide safe drinking water for the people of northern and eastern Uganda who had little or no access to safe water. DivineAid employs staffs in implementing its activities, seeking to maintain a firm foundation in developing communities regardless of their race, ideology or religion. The staffs have been empowered to bring health and hope to thousands of communities. Through its proven technical expertise in water development, commitment to community-led programming, and innovative WASH promotion strategies, DivineAid is poised to make a significant impact working in partnership with national and international stakeholders to provide safe water, adequate sanitation, and improved health to the people of Uganda.
