LIRA, UGANDA – To match the scale of our newly expanded mission, Divine Agency for Integrated Development (DivineAid) is announcing a bold financial vision for the next decade. As we transition from Divine Waters Uganda to DivineAid, we have projected a strategic budget of over UGX 25 billion (approximately $7 million USD) to fuel our 10-year development plan.
This ambitious resource goal is designed to move beyond traditional project-by-project funding, creating a sustainable foundation for long-term community transformation across Northern and Eastern Uganda.
A Strategy for Diversification
For over two decades, our work has been made possible by the incredible support of foundational partners like the Ryan’s Well Foundation. To reach our UGX 25 billion goal, DivineAid is now actively diversifying its resource base.
Our focus moving forward includes:
- International Consortia: Joining forces with global networks to tackle large-scale challenges in climate resilience and public health.
- INGO Partnerships: Collaborating with International Non-Governmental Organizations to bring specialized expertise and multi-year funding to our target districts.
- Government & Multilateral Grants: Aligning our grassroots success with national and international development goals (SDGs) to secure larger institutional support.
- Local Resource Mobilization: Strengthening our internal systems to ensure every shilling is used with maximum efficiency and transparency.
Where the Investment Goes
The UGX 25 billion roadmap isn’t just about numbers; it’s about lives changed. This funding will be directly channeled into:
- Sustainable WASH Infrastructure: Building climate-resilient water sources in districts like Dokolo and Lira.
- Economic Livelihoods: Scaling our VSLA models to help thousands of households transition from subsistence to self-sufficiency.
- Environmental Protection: Massive reforestation efforts to protect water catchments and mitigate local climate risks.
- Institutional Excellence: Investing in our staff and systems to maintain the highest standards of accountability and program delivery.
A Call to Partners
“Our 10-year plan is a promise to the communities we serve that we won’t just provide a temporary fix, but a permanent path to prosperity,” said the DivineAid leadership team. “We invite new partners and donors who share our vision of ‘Community Hope Alive’ to join us in this next chapter of growth.”
As an indigenous NGO with deep roots and technical expertise, DivineAid offers a unique opportunity for international partners to achieve measurable, sustainable impact on the ground in Uganda.
